Oh, we got a new pig in the parlor,
We got a new pig in the parlor,
We got a new pig in the parlor,
And that is Irish too,
(Mr. Ash sings, "He is Irish, too.")
And that is Irish too,
And that is Irish too.
Oh, we got a new pig in the parlor,
And that is Irish, too.

Oh, your right hand to your partner,
The left one to your neighbor,
The right one to the one you meet,
And all promenade.
And all promenade,
And we all promenade.
Oh, the right one to the one you meet,
And all promenade.

(Mr. Ash: "That's one verse clear through . . . Well, you want to know how it's played, huh? . . . Well, you all get couples, and you circle to the right and form a circle, and then one steps in, and that's the pig that's in the center of the circle. And you all move around a little bit and then start and go to singing, 'We've got a new pig in the parlor' and so on until they come to allemande left, and then he has a right to step in wherever he may stop. There'll be one remaining, and that one will be the new pig in the parlor. And so on 'til you get tired of playing and then you can call the game off.")
