Dollo day, dollo day
O-hoo-oo (yell-yodel).
Dollo day, work or play,
O-hoo-oo oo-hoo.
Rain or shine, rain or shine,
O-hoo-oo.
Rain or shine, the money's mine,
O-hoo-oo oo-hoo.

(Mr. Detherow: "They was the old-fashioned nigger yell that was sung during slave time and for years afterwards, and the white folks took it up. And I'm now seventy-eight years old and I hadn't hollered this for fifty years. When I used to practice it every day, I could holler it in forty different ways. If the young generation now will take this up and learn to sing it, to holler that nigger yell, it starts with a "hoo" instead of a "yo," "y," as the yodel do, and you could make a fine thing of it if you would pick it up. I'm a-gonna play on, gonna play "Johnny Get Your Gun" on the French harp now.")

"Johnny, Get Your Gun" (harmonica)
"Barlow Knife" (also harmonica)
