Old Dan Tucker's downtown,
Swinging them ladies round and round,
First by the right and then by the left,
Then by the one that you love best.
Get out the way for Old Dan Tucker;
He's too late to get his supper.

Old Dan Tucker's down in town,
Swinging them ladies round and round,
First by the right and then by the left,
Then by the one that you love best.
Get outta the way for Old Dan Tucker;
He's too late to get his supper.

Supper's over and breakfast cooked,
And Old Dan Tucker setting and a-looking.

(Mr. Escue: "This sing and play, they all around in a circle and they have a odd man in the center with no partner and in this "Old Dan Tucker," he has to steal a partner every time, and they swap out each man in this sing and play.)
