My wife Sal sick up bed up behind the stair door on a sheepskin. She shunked the bed up and run the stairs . . . She shunked the bed up and hollered, "Shawn, Shawn, the pumpkin's full of hog patch." I jumped the bed up and run the stairs down and looked the window out and hollered, "See, see," and every pumpkin grabbed a hog in his mouth and run the devil over like a fence was after him.

Dog was treed over at the back of the field the other night, and I jumped up and stumped my gun, and my toe went off and shot the dog, and the varmint got away.
