(Mr. McInturff: " 'Admonition' is what I call this song. I've taken it from thoughts that my mother gave me and a song she used to sing, and I can't remember a single word of it. But I remember something about what it was about, about cautioning boys how to live. Of course, she taught us boys how we ought to live. Most mothers do.")

Oh, my brother, won't you listen
While I make this feeble plea.
On life's journey, oh, be careful.
There are dangers, don't you see?
You may think that you can tarry
With no thought of things ahead.
Come to Jesus, sate your hunger,
Like the multitudes he fed.

There are mountains steep before you,
