Frog went a-courting and he did ride,
Rop strop by Mr. Gamble.
A sword and a pistol at his side,
Rop strop by Mr. Gamble.

Chorus: Hee-mo eye-mo kee-mo ky-mo
Rolly rolly ray.
Rock strop penny winkle flanna-doodle yella booger,
Rock strop by Mr. Gamble.

He rode right up to Miss Mousie's door,
Rop strop by Mr. Gamble.
And he knocked so loud that he made it roar,
Rop strop by Mr. Gamble.
Took Miss Mousie on his knee,
Said, "Miss Mouse, marry me."
Rop strop by Mr. Gamble.

(Chorus)

She said, "Now, I can't tell you that."
Rop strop by Mr. Gamble.
"You'll have to ask old Uncle Rat."
Rock strop by Mr. Gamble.

(Chorus)

Now Uncle Rat gave his consent,
Rop strop by Mr. Gamble.
And the weasel wrote out the publishment,
Rop strop by Mr. Gamble.

(Chorus)

Where will their supper be?
Rop strop by Mr. Gamble.
Away down yonder in a hollow tree,
Rop strop by Mr. Gamble.
Who will the waiters be?
A pink-eyed gnat, a black-eyed flea,
Rop strop by Mr. Gamble.

(Chorus)

What will their supper be?
Rop strop by Mr. Gamble.
Oh, buttercups and a dewdrop tea,
Rop strop by Mr. Gamble.

(Chorus)

Now the first came in was a little white moth,
Rop strop by Mr. Gamble.
She spread her wings for a tablecloth,
Rop strop by Mr. Gamble.
The next come in was a big black gnat,
And he sat down on Uncle Rat,
Rop strop by Mr. Gamble.

(Chorus)

The frog came swimming across the lake,
Rop strop by Mr. Gamble.
And he was swallowed by a big black snake,
Rop strop by Mr. Gamble.

(Chorus)

I think the folks are tired of my song,
Rop strop by Mr. Gamble.
So gimme my fiddle and I'll amble on,
Rop strop by Mr. Gamble.

(Chorus)
